Unceded Airwaves Episode January 10, 2018
Land Acknowledgment and Site C
2:01pm - 2:54pm
In Season 3 episode 9 Autumn and Melissa interviewed Carleigh Baker, a masters student at UBC, about land acknowledgments, their meanings, and implications of them. Then on second half of the show Madeson and Autumn interviewed Zoe Ducklow, a journalist who worked with Discourse Media on Site C. We discuss what the process of approval was like, the hesitations of Indigenous communities, and the role Zoe played in highlighting their opinions.
