We’re back with another AFTN Soccer Show packed full of Vancouver Whitecaps, Major League Soccer, Canadian Championship, and Canadian Premier League chat. The football keeps coming and so do the podcasts!
The Whitecaps busy month of May continues apace with two games a week. It was a case of win one, lose one this past week as they got a Canadian Championship win over Cavalry FC, but fell to a comprehensive defeat at LAFC in MLS action. We pick over the bones of both matches, look at what’s gone wrong for the ‘Caps and what they need to fix it, and round-up all the Canadian Championship and MLS action, including Messi mania in Montreal and incredible postgame scenes in Toronto.
Turning our attention to the CPL, we round-up the weekend’s action and discuss the league’s decision to move a Vancouver FC home game to Kelowna, which is proving to be a massive own goal for the club among their supporters.
