The latest AFTN Soccer Show is out for another packed episode of Vancouver Whitecaps, MLS, and Canadian football chat.

It’s that time of year when we reflect on the last 12 months – the good times, the bad times, the what might have beens. We’ll be breaking down the year in Whitecapsland and Canadian soccer over the next few shows and we kick things off this episode with our 2021 Whitecaps Year in Review.

We look back on the offseason squad building, starting the season down in Utah, the return back to Vancouver, and the season run-in and the playoffs. Plus we chat about the key additions of Ryan Gauld and Brian White, the sacking of Marc Dos Santos and the appointment of Vanni Sartini, and look ahead at what could lie in store in 2022.

Our feature interview this episode is with the difference maker that joined the ‘Caps in the summer, Scottish DP Ryan Gauld. We chat to Ryan about his move to Vancouver, his first season in MLS, what’s to come next year, his hopes of pulling on a Scotland jersey in the near future, and a lot more.
