JACKIE HOFFART (they/them) is a trans filmmaker and comedian who has been working in the local film industry in a wide variety of capacities since 2012, including on the pictures ‘The Age of Adaline’, Spielberg’s ‘The BFG’ and ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’.
A stand-up comedian for over 10 years, they created two seasons of a Storyhive-funded docuseries called “YVR Funny” featuring Vancouver comics performing standup and giving intimate interviews. Jackie has twice served as a judge for the JUNO Comedy Album of the Year category, in 2020 and 2023.
Jackie is Producer/Writer/Director of THE REVEAL, where the central character “Stevie struggles to support their sister’s gender reveal party, while harbouring a gender update of their own. This charming comedy pulls back the curtain on gender performance of all varieties, and shines a whimsical light on the stumbling, imperfect, yet loving ways families show up for one another”.
THE REVEAL is having it’s Crazy8s screening at The Centre in Vancouver For Performing Arts and the Gala afterparty is at Science World on March 29th. You can find the Artist “on the Insta” at @ostensiblyclear

S.W. KENT (he/him) lives with his husband and his family in the Pacific Northwest. Before becoming an author, he enjoyed a twenty-year career as an educator and executive, in the field of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Founder and CEO of Belquis and Martel Publishing LLC, he has established an indie-publishing company for queer and diverse authors in fantasy fiction.
