VELVET RYDER (he/she/they) is your favourite drag queen’s favourite drag king! He is the current reigning High King Supreme of Seattle’s Emerald City Kings Ball and the 1st drag king to win the Sing for the Ring championship belt.

Tantalizing and turning on audiences across the province and the border with his unbeatable charm and smooth moves he’s captivating crowds across the country and beyond, proving that kings reign just as fiercely as queens. Recently joining the Long Live Kings Collective Velvet co-produces bingo nights and KINGSIZED, launching the next KINGSIZED show on March 15th at The Birdhouse, an all drag king and thing drag show. MR. SHELLFISH (they/he/she) is a drag king living in Kelowna, BC, but the ocean has their heart as they lived most of their life on Vancouver Island. You can also find ShellFish performing under their other performance persona, Miss Ocean Squeeze, a burlesque artist and dancer.


Making waves in the Okanagan, Mr. ShellFish embodies dualities and limitless expressions of all parts of the human soul. As they retired from being a professional track runner, they are fresh to the scene of performance the last four years, but have always had a deep love for art, movement, and creative expression. As a black, queer artist, Mr. ShellFish is a passionate advocate for their community and strives to create spaces for queer joy!
