LOGHAN PAYLOR (they/them) is a queer, trans author who lives in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia. Their short fiction and essays have previously appeared in Room and Prairie Fire, among others.
Paylor is a graduate of The Writer's Studio at Simon Fraser University and has an MFA in creative writing from the University of British Columbia, as well as a day job as a professional geek. Their debut novel, The Cure for Drowning, was the #3 best-selling queer novel in Canada in 2024, and is long-listed for the Giller Prize.
Evocative, magical and luminously written, The Cure for Drowning is not only a brilliant, boundary-pushing love story but a Canadian historical novel that boldly centres queer and non-binary characters in unprecedented ways. Check out the Author on their Insta at @loghanish
