QUARTERBACK BABY (he/him) is a Toronto-based, Jamaican-Irish popstar who has been performing in Canada since 2016, sharing stages with the likes of Daniel Caesar, Rebecca Black, Empress Of, and Baby Tate.
QB — aka Quinn Bates — is all about movement; from the soaring vocals on his self-produced tracks to his hypnotic live performances, in which he effortlessly thrusts and grinds his way between R&B, house, dance and hyperpop. His debut album “Hypersexual Heartbreak” was released on July 19th of this year featuring the new single CHEERLEADER. Late in ‘88: is a new limited series podcast hosted by Bronwin Parks and Elinor Svoboda. The two grade school classmates share their experiences of growing up queer and gender non-conforming in Calgary, Alberta in 1988.
Elinor Svoboda (she/her) is an award-winning filmmaker, sound designer and educator with over 20 years of experience in the film, television, and audio industries. Her work has been nominated for both Grammy and Juno Awards, shortlisted for the Berlin Film Festival, and premiered at the Fantasia Film Festival. Notably, her 2012 short documentary Tegan and Sara: INDIA was broadcast and distributed internationally via Warner Brothers Music. Elinor is currently developing several television and feature narrative projects under her company, Ellefire Media.
Bronwin Parks (they/them) is the founder of the award-winning Feisty Creative, a creative agency for digital and media related industries, working with brands, award shows, and Canada’s major music labels. Bronwin has fought hard to be an outspoken champion for diversity and equity, serving on several music and creative industry boards, to create inclusive spaces and more opportunities for 2SLGBTQIA+ people. Bronwin lives their life out and proud, using their talents and connections to stand up for those who have been pushed to the margins of society.
