Strap in for a survey of sonic assaults from all over the spectrum of heavy sounds with Ian on this episode of Powerchord! We'll start with an experimental harsh noise/chamber doom piece from Vancouver's own The Nausea, followed by a punishing beat-down courtesy of tracks off new releases by death metal titans Gatecreeper, Slimelord and Skeletal Remains. We're gonna get hyped for an awesome show featuring Phrenelith, Nortoth and Ceremonial Bloodbath coming up on June 29th at the Cobalt, and then we'll also wade into some sludgy tar pits of agony with new rippers from Thou, Dopethrone and Iron Monkey. We'll rock out during the second half of the show to some ferocious rave-ups from Die Spitz, White Lung and Amyl and the Sniffers, and then we'll go old school and dig a scorching mini-set of classic punk and hardcore featuring Black Flag, the Misfits, D.O.A. and lots more out of the The Graveyard!
