Welcome back everyone - Hope this mix finds you well. I heard we are getting an early spring out here on the west coast, as the cherry blossoms in Victoria are already in bloom; that is a beautiful thing. This mix offers a nice transition from those wintry nights into something still chill but also brimming with bright underscored melodies, synths, and vocals - We begin with a wonderful ballad from last year's excellent EP c/o Charlotte Day Wilson, which blends real nicely into a bonafide classic from The Smiths, one of my favourites from Beach House, an excellent new single / instrumental from KAYTRANADA, and a sweet existential club track from Wild Nothing; next we get into some great grooving ambient electro and R&B including brand new Kalitechnis, classic Boards Of Canada, and Lemon Jelly with an exhilarating track; we close with a great new cuts from Ludovic Alarie, Sharon Van Etten (!!), Mitski, and a bonus gem for all you 90s kid millennials - Please enjoy~~
