There is an extraordinary amount of great soul, indie electro, and rock and roll here, beginning with classics: a love ballad dismissal from Marvin Gaye, strong funk from Prince, breezy new wave from Stevie Nicks, and critically reflexive Neon Indian; we continue with a message from Thundercat, one of the best songs of 2018 c/o Blood Orange feat. Diddy and Tei Shi, Broken Social Scene with the sweet melancholy in transition, and classics from R.E.M., The Beatles (maybe my fav track off my fav Beatles album), The Strokes avoiding the sophomore slump, and new Courtney Barnett showing everyone what's up; we close with more great work from Grimes, Symmetry, and a bonus gem off of an album that may end up being the best of 2018 - Please enjoy~~
