XHM #119 - "I can smell the literature from a distant sun" (2012 June 11)

7:30am - 9:02am

The transit of Venus theme probably would've worked better last week in advance of that lifetime event but since John Philip Sousa recorded his march a year after the fact, well I can be late too.

For a brief moment, I thought I had very little Ray Bradbury material at my disposal; 451 degrees later, I remembered Bernard Herrmann, who was profiled back in episode 76 of XHM (check 2011 August). Add in some Youtubery for additional things (like his old HBO show, which I vaguely recall though I didn't have cable out in the country) and this weird show crystallized.
