This Discollie Episode started with a punky banger, the Dallas-based band 'House Parties' kicked off the show with an awesome interview, talking about their most recent EP drop called "Side Effects". Oliver and the band talked about the inspirations and production that came with the creation of the EP, as well as their roles in the band with Spencer on the guitar, Wesley on the drums, and Chaney on lead vocals. House Parties hit the stage in Vancouver on April 5th at The Wise Hall! After jamming out to some awesome pop-punk and alternative rock, Oliver introduced the album for the week called "Love Sux" by the pop-punk princess herself, Avril Lavigne. After diving into the crazy drums and vocals behind the album and the various vinyl record pressings, Oliver reminisces on her show back in May of 2022 and looks forward to seeing her again in May of 2024.
