Code Blue Episode February 5, 2022
Inspired by 'Murder Most Foul'
2:59pm - 5:01pm
‘Murder Most Foul’ is a song by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan from his 39th studio album, ‘Rough and Rowdy Ways’. Dylan's first original music released in 8 years generated an enormous number of mostly positive reviews. The song addresses the assassination of John F. Kennedy in the context of the greater American political and cultural history. The 17 minute epic contains 74 references to songs or musicians. As part of the CiTR Fundrive, we will kick off Saturday’s show with Murder Most Foul, and then try and cram in as many songs mentioned in the lyrics as we can. While there are many from the blues genre, there will also be some rockabilly, jazz, country, rock, western swing, pop, r&b and folk tracks aired. It should be a fun listen, and a bit of a peek inside the head of His Bobness. If you want to prep for this, you could pre-read the lyrics of Dylan’s song here: https://tinyurl.com/35cjp7k5
