In our Access Economy segment we have been looking at what popular share companies have done (or not done) to make their services accessible to their disabled customers. In part 2 of our Access Economy segment we look at accessibility in ride-share companies. With talk of Uber coming to the Lower Mainland we chat with MLA Stephanie Cadieux .
Stephanie Cadieux is the Liberal MLA for Surrey South and the Opposition Critic for Advanced Education serving in the BC legislative assembly . Cadieux also has a disability herself and is in a wheelchair . In fact, she is the first women in a wheelchair to serves as cabinet minister and for BC parliament . In the past she has worked for the BC Paraplegic Association (now SCI-BC) as director of marketing and development, as manager of accessibility for 2010 Legacies Now, and has been president of Realwheels Society.
