Vancouver, BC — On Friday, March 8th 2019, independent radio broadcaster CiTR 101.9 FM will conclude its annual Fundrive with a finale party held at Red Gate Arts Society (1965 Main St). This 19+ event will feature performances from Why Choir, Milk, BB and sets from the Dame DJ’s. There will also be a silent auction with chances to bid on prizes generously donated by friends of CiTR like Timbre Concerts, Flemish Eye, Mint Records, Long and McQuade, John Fluevog, Blue Light Studio, and many more.
All proceeds from this event go towards CiTR’s annual Fundrive. This week-long telethon style event has a goal of $40,000 and runs from Feb 28th until 5pm on March 7th 2019. CiTR DJs will be asking listeners to call in and donate at 604-822-8648 (UBC-UNIT) or transfer funds digitally via citr.ca/donate. Donors will receive Fundrive swag designed by local artists, including patches, mixtapes, socks and bags as well as show specific prizes. The theme this year is Ruby Jubilee, chosen to celebrate the station’s 80+ years serving the community. The events slogan, Making Milestones represents how far the station has come, and the goals still left to achieve to propel the station in today’s media landscape.
Doors for the finale open at 8:30 and tickets are $10 online and $12 at the door. Buy tickets in advance at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/4093079
