EDITOR’S NOTE: In a city where venues that cater to emerging music, art and literary scenes face increasing precarity, it is more important now that ever to support the spaces you love.
Last December, some local bands came together to fundraise for The Toast Collective, a venue that has become one of Vancouver’s most cherished gems. There were performances by Future Star, Little Sprout, Birdo and Tim the Mute. The event drew a nice crowd, and raised $535 towards the Toasts’ operating costs.
Duncan’s Donuts host and longtime Discorder contributor, Duncan McHugh, attended the fundraiser and snapped the following selection of photos. If you want to see the full album, visit Duncan’s Flickr here. -BB
