Presenter #2- Amalia J. Nickel
Amalia Judith Nickel is pretty determined to get what she wants. And what she wants is to create innovative campaigns that involve music, mentorship and various levels of meaning. In three short years, Amalia has organized and motivated a successful integration of Western Canadian hip-hop into the consciousness of fans worldwide via Canada’s number one source for hip-hop, HipHopCanada.com. Amalia’s development of the Western Canadian Editorial role has involved internship programming, staff facilitation, and partnerships with labels, promotion teams and artists. This position has led into creative content development for various artists and labels, plus freelance work for other publications. All these things come together in her production company Team Heartbreak – a chance to tell a story in the most culturally relevant way, in a medium whose integrity matches its message.
