The Chess Story is a lavishly produced, limited edition (only 1,000 made) 15 CD box set that ranks easily among the most desirable collections ever manufactured. The Chicago label, established by Polish immigrant brothers Phil and Leonard Chess, brought the blues to many people for the first time. This show covers 1953 and 1954, featuring stars of the era like Muddy Waters, Little Walter and Howlin' Wolf alongside interesting obscurities like Jimmy Binkley, Leon Tarver and Larry Liggett.
