In this episode we dissect the pervasiveness of capitalism and how it affects art and activism alike. Led by artist and writer Gregory Sholette’s Delirium and Resistance: Activist Art and the Crisis of Capitalism, we discuss the ability of commercial and non commercial art to have an effect on world events. Joined by Aleeza Yusuf of the Vancouver group Anartchists, we discuss the value of community action through creative production. Then, tattoo artist Lee (rottingweiler) joins us as we get into the role of commercial art in fundraising and organizing.
