In this episode we venture into the world of literature. Contextualized by texts from Black feminist poet and activist Audre Lorde’s Sister Outsider, we question who controls our output and therefore the narrative, and start to understand writing as resistance. Kicking it off with the connections between visibility, queer internet, and the worlds within worlds, we turn to Angelic Goldsky and their augmented reality poetry piece Stealth Codes from Vancouver’s Queer Arts Festival. Getting into our exploration of zines and alternative literature, we speak with artists and integral members of the Pacific Northwest zine movement Angela Fama and Sonja Ahlers, with background from the Vancouver Art Gallery exhibition Copy Machine Manifestos.
