JANDROU (he/him), born and raised in sunny El Salvador, blends fantasy and flavor in his melodies, drawing inspiration from Björk, Lady Gaga, Sia, Coldplay, and The Killers.
Growing up in a small church, singing alongside the congregation, he found solace in music but faced self-doubt as a queer individual. Moving to Vancouver changed that, allowing him to embrace his true self.
During the pandemic, Jandrou pursued his long-time passion for songwriting, releasing his debut album "Ashes to Ashes" on July 12 of this year, which chronicles his journey of overcoming heartbreak. He has performed at Vancouver Pride's main stage and other notable Pride Festivals and venues in Vancouver, BC, captivating audiences with his nostalgic soundscapes and empowering message of self-acceptance.
