DAVID CAPOCCI (he/him) is one of the owners of the gay-owned and operated homestead campground (open to the general public), Paca Pride Guest Ranch.
Along with his husband, Glenn Budlow, and business partner, Tim Leingang, the three purchased a raw logged parcel of land to build a legacy project out in the mountains for the public. They went from city boys to mountain ranchers, parlaying their experience in yurt camping, as members of an LGBTQ community campground further up the road, into a business plan to reinvent the family farm and bring ‘glamping’ to the public.
Paca Pride offer yurts and tent camping along the national scenic byway in western Washington called the Mountain Loop Hwy. Paca Pride is also a demonstration farm to the public on permaculture approaches leveraging livestock to bring abundance to a mountain meadow ecology. Guests are welcome to engage with our morning farm chores, and tours are always free. Paca Pride is ‘Base Camp’ for your Mountain Loop experience: featuring famed hikes along this scenic destination. To learn more about the farm, and booking your “yurt” vacay amongst Alpacas and other farm folk, visit www.pacapride.com
