ROBERT WATSON (he/him) is an award-winning playwright and performer, formerly proclaimed as an “LGBTQ+ voice in comedy you should know” by CBC Arts.

Born in St John’s Newfoundland and raised in Victoria BC, he has called Toronto home for over a decade.

Celebrating its 5th anniversary in 2024, Robert's stand-up comedy brand Gay AF Comedy is Toronto's premier place to find top notch Queer comedians and was featured as part of Just For Laughs Toronto in 2022.

Robert is also the creator of the super gay web series A Gay Victorian Affair, winner of 4 Canadian Comedy Awards and Best LGBTQ Web Series at both the Rio de Janeiro and Baltimore web festivals. Featured in Indiewire’s Top 5 Web Series of 2018, A Gay Victorian Affair was featured at Just For Laughs in Montreal in 2019 and has over 3 million views on its YouTube Channel. Robert’s 2021 debut comedy special ‘Out For Laughs’ can be found on Amazon Prime and OutTV. His 2023 premier comedy album “Homo Say What?” debuted at #1 on the Canadian Comedy iTunes Chart.

In April 2024 Gay AF Comedy is launching its inaugural cross Canada tour –visiting six cities – Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal - bringing trans stand-up sensation Al Val to deliver Queer joy across the nation. SHELECTRO is the relatively new musical project of Charlie B (she/her), the singer/songwriter, producer and solo performer based out of the UK.

Her music fuses electronic, house and pop music. Her love of dance and electronic music started at a young age, but Charlie’s first formal introduction to music was studying classical music and opera at The Royal Northern College of Music. Graduating with a Contemporary Music degree, Charlie went on to DJ and play live gigs in many venues in and around Manchester’s Canal Street area and was a resident DJ at ‘Breakout’ a long-standing LGBT club night at MMU.

Now living in Lancaster, she turned her hand to producing dance and electronic music, mainly during the recent Covid 19 lockdowns. This time presented her with an opportunity to develop her music production skills and to complete the tracks which make up her first EP, the aptly titled “If Not Now, Then When?”


Her lyrics are questioning, rather than “preachy” because she aims for her songs to be danced to, while at the same time providing more that the usual ‘love story’ lyrics that dance and popular music often focuses on. Her latest releases have been featured on several regional radio stations and she is steadily building a name for herself on the UK music scene.
