BLAISE ADAMSON (she/her) is one fourth of, and the co-founder of the Australian band AQUATICO. Alongside fellow founder Tina Nguyen and bandmates Alijoscha Felber and George Wood, AQUATICO is a queer band you want to get dialed into!

Initially a solo project of Adamson’s, AQUATICO (formerly known as BLAISE) emerged out of the rolling waves of Melbourne’s 2021 COVID lockdowns.

In the year that followed, the band garnered kudos and solidified their reputation through plenty of gigs across Melbourne. Their energetic performance style and captivating musicality enraptured audiences and garnered an incredible amount of support without having released anything tangible.

The band ended their first year with a thunderclap, ringing in the new year at Bush Festival ’22, Brunswick Music Fest, Gaytimes Fest and most recently supported beloved Australian rockers Magic Dirt on their reunion Tour.


Now they are proud to announce their upcoming debut EP with the launch of it’s first single ‘SCAPEGOAT’ a bittersweet ode to Blaise’s youth, growing up in regional Victoria in the 90’s/2000’s. The song represents how a queer teenager can often find themselves as the easy target or ‘scapegoat’ for community bigotry and schoolyard bullying. Blaise’s experiences and her defiant personality lends themselves to an adrenaline fuelled, cheeky, charming and ultimately furious sound as she paints the picture of the complications of the first romantic experiences of queer teenagerhood. JAYMZE (he/him) has been making music for over 25 years, but his journey as an artist began with piano and vocal training during childhood. Jaymze began composing and writing at an early age, drawing inspiration from 80s and 90s artists, as well as Motown singer/songwriters.

In the 2000s, Jaymze began writing songs, producing, remixing and performing at bars and clubs and then spent the next 8 years remixing as part of Pluto & Jaymze (with Dj Pluto) and as a solo remixer.

He spent much of 2022 working on tracks for a solo album called "Da Capo" and last year brought the release of the Debut single, "Stay" a cover of the smash hit by Sash! on Supa Qween Records & "Karaoke Queen" released independently as the second single.

Released in February 2023 and 9 years in the making, "Lost" the third single has proven to be very popular, with radio airplay worldwide, TWICE voted #1 and spent 12 weeks in the Top 10 on the Q32 LGBTQIA+ music charts. Follow the artist on Insta @thejaymzeofficial
