Giselle Miller (she/her) is a Jamaican-Canadian writer, actor and filmmaker living in Vancouver who fell in love with storytelling early, winning her first writing competition at 13. After completing an MFA in Creative Writing at UBC, she went on to write, produce and direct two seasons of the Leo award-nominated web series Young, Single and Black. Giselle received two Leo Award-nominations for her performance in the series.
In 2023, Giselle released her second web series BIG PEOPLE TINGZ and will soon be coming out with her third web series YOLANDA THE GODDESS. Her short play THE SPIRIT HAS TEETH had its world premiere at the Jericho Arts Centre in March 2023.
Giselle is also the recipient of the 2023 WIDC Advantage Award and five of her feature-length screenplays have placed in competitions in the United States. Her most recent screenplay THE GREAT BLACK NORTH was a semifinalist in the GEMFest Screenplay Competition and was selected for the 2023 Whistler Screenwriters Lab.
One of the reasons Giselle became a filmmaker was to center black female voices in front of and behind the camera and with this in mind created Orange Rose Productions. Her latest web series is Novelette is Trying - After she is dumped by her partner, a queer, anti-social Black woman is forced to take on a quirky roommate, which forces her to confront the lack of purpose, love, and connection in her life. Richardson has written with a variety of Canadian artists, including Carly Rae Jepsen and DYLN, as well as providing guest vocals on Bobina’s 2016 single, “Love is the Answer”, earning over 1.5 million Spotify streams across its accompanying remixes.

“Anything” follows the release of Richardson’s spring single “Can You Hear Me”, which re-introduced him to audiences after a 4-year hiatus. As a performer at multiple Pride events around his home city, Richardson remains a steadfast supporter of diversity and representation in music.
