Her poetic memoir, leave some for the birds is filled with wise and poignant reflections on her life. leave some for the birds is based on seven decades of living and seeking justice as a Two Spirit, Michif woman. With its poems, poetic observations and thoughtful meanderings, the book reads as a journal-memoir-poetry collection, unfolding the experiences and wisdom of a woman who has dedicated much of her life and talent to creating social change.

leave some for the birds is part reflection on a life dedicated to justice and equity, part manual for others who wish to follow in the author’s trailblazing footsteps.
