8:00am - 10:00am
TYA
TYA's (she/they) pop music debut has been a long time coming. They've always had a natural talent for singing, and their introduction to songwriting also came early in the form of poems they'd write to sing along to the rhythmic percussion of her father's tap dancing.
A talented actor and dancer, TYA has a long list of credits, including Netflix’s Midnight Club and NBC’s Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist.
Musically, a year-long hiatus had no impact whatsoever on TYA’s hot streak of singles, and in this case, she crushed it once again with the release of “Josephine”.
In a triumphant return to the music scene, Canadian alternative pop artist TYA (pronounced tie-ah) unleashes her undeniable talent and creative spirit with the release of "Josephine", their inaugural openly-Queer song, and also an unabashed celebration of the interconnections that make up Queer relationships.
TYA brings forth a gender euphoric and queer anthem that radiates with captivating energy and heartfelt lyrics, firmly establishing her as a force to be reckoned with.
With more music, videos, and live shows on the horizon in 2023, this is just the beginning for TYA. To learn more about the Artist, visit their website www.tyamakesmusic.com or check them out on Insta @tyamakesmusic

FARMER KIRKLAND
FARMING FOR LOVE (Canada) is an adaptation of the hit Fremantle TV show THE FARMER WANTS A WIFE, an original concept from the British magazine Country Living. The reality dating series FARMING FOR LOVE recently revealed six amazing new BC farmers vying for the opportunity to find love on Season 2, which follows four farmers on an authentic adventure to find their soulmates. They open up their farms and their hearts to a select group of urban singles who are fully immersed into a new lifestyle and introduced to a new livelihood. On top of navigating an unfamiliar environment, they will be faced with a series of challenges, group activities, and intimate one-on-one dates with the ultimate goal of finding their one true love.
QueerFM Van sits down for a chat with the show’s gay Farmer who is “looking for love”, so OK guys, here’s your chance to find love on the ranch because the show is looking for candidates to vie for our Farmer’s affections and hopefully find love in the process!
Farmer Kirkland (he/him) who hails from Rosedale, BC, is a cattle and horse boarding rancher and farmer near Chilliwack in British Columbia’s Fraser Valley region.
Charming former rodeo champion Farmer Kirkland left the family farm to find himself in the big city – but the country life and a desire to work on his family’s ancestral land drew this second-generation farmer back. Now he’s living a life he loves, minding horses and cattle on their farm near his home community of Cheam First Nation. The dating pool of gay men in the nearby city is small, and the ones willing to give farm life a try are even smaller. This farmer is looking for a man who’s ready to settle down, saddle up, and ride into the sunset…
