CITR’s 24 Hours of Radio Art in a snack-sized format. Dark Ambient. Drone. Field Recordings. Noise. Sound Art. Or something.
This Friday afternoon’s broadcast features Audrey Riley, Organ of Corti, Merchants, Emiter, Elsa Justel, Manuella Blackburn, GRHM, Clan of Xymox, plus the CITR Global Network premiere of the new D.O.A. tribute record ‘No Escape From What You Are‘. Unfortunately, no reciprocal D.O.A. cover songs from Tom Jones, Neil Young, or The Who, but M.D.C., Voivod, and Toxic Reasons are all on deck!
Starting at 2PM Pacific on CITR 101.9FM, streaming at PLAYER.CITR.CA

New Music Review By Mark Hjorthoy
Merchants – Marrow
Why am I just hearing about Merchants now? This album is lower case brilliance. Hypnotic sparse beats and expertly layered sounds make this industrial tinged beauty a shocker. I love how they construct. Everything floats with purpose and ease. Even the harsh sounds find a perfect place to nest.
