Nicola Ratti – Automatic Popular Music

I hear great influences throughout this album – Mort Garson, Daniel Miller, Aphex Twin, Delia Derbyshire, Suzanne Ciani – without ever touching their catalogue. The way the separate tracks are built on different time signatures and BPMs makes this album constantly move, without crossing over itself. Brilliant with a side of nostalgia.
