New Music Review By Mark Hjorthoy
Kuma – ‘How To Shoot Somebody Who Outdrew You’
Kuma makes cool music. That is a given. And this new “drone-bient” release is a wonderful journey that keeps that cool going. Dark and tense throughout, without being off-putting. “Your Red Sky At Night” is one of my favourites. The dense yet hypnotic thick wall of sounds makes me think of Oslo native and drone expert Oystein Jorgensen’s work. Captivating with subtle movements, yet very interesting to follow. I hope he does more of these. Better yet, this would be excellent to see live with visuals. Come on Kuma, get that together! This was a pleasure to listen to.
