For 28 years, Out On Screen has proudly showcased films that demonstrate the transformative moments in the lives of queer people – the journeys taken to find themselves, each other and their place in the world. The Vancouver Queer Film Festival is a document of social change through film, education and dialogue.
This year, CiTR 101.9FM and Discorder Magazine have partnered with VQFF to screen the documentary Stay Gold, Man Up at Vancity Theatre, August 14, 7pm. The film focuses on the work the East Vancouver all-gender “drag spectacular” Man Up over the last nine years – what they have brought to the community over the last nine years, by encouraging a place of expression and diversity.
There are also a variety of other local and international films during the festival. Check out the full listing!
CiTR and Discorder is honoured to celebrate with the unique, resilient, and creative Vancouver queer communities through VQFF 2017.
