“And after four hours of escalating aural awesomeness, my only question? Can Sled possibly get better than that? There’s only one way to find out” (Words by Laurel Borrowman for Discorder Magazine).
Sled Island returns for its 10th year this June 22nd – 26th in Calgary, AB! A festival pass gives you access to 250+ bands, film, comedy and art in 35+ venues.
CiTR and Discorder are proud to present a showcase of four bands, featuring musicians from our hometown of Vancouver in addition to Albertan and Oregonian groups. Noisy punks DRI HIEV, lo-fi punks Hurry Up, pissed-off punks Advertisement and dreamy punks Swim Team create a well-rounded lineup for the show at Ship & Anchor Pub. The show kicks off on Saturday, June 25th around 9:30 pm.
The entire festival is stacked with music, comedy, art, and film. Tickets are available online.
“Fumes. Adrenaline. Lack of sleep. High on life and drunk on love, I swan-dove into Sled Day Three, with these things fueling the adventure. And while it was hard to fathom it getting any better after highlights like Disappears’ headlining set on Wednesday and critically acclaimed Atlanta rapper Killer Mike’s artist talk at Beat Drop yesterday, you know what? It did” (Words by Laurel Borrowman for Discorder Magazine).
