On May 21 at the Biltmore Cabaret, CITR 101.9FM & CJSF 90.1FM present Next Music From Tokyo Vol 6. This yearly series is a non profit cross-Canada tour that showcases the best underground and independent music from Japan.

In previous years, the series has brought Zazen Boys, mouse on the keys, NATSUMEN, group_inou, Akai Koen, sgt., Charan-Po-Rantan, or Mass of the Fermenting Dregs.  All truly extraordinary bands!

Following with their tradition, Next Music From Tokyo Vol 6 will bring in one of the most popular bands in Japan today: Kinoko Teikoku. Although they made their Canadian debut last year, their unique brand of shoegaze left the fans wanting a return visit immediately.

Playing alongside Kinoko Teikoku will be Vancouver’s Sprïng (ex-SSRIs) and the three new Japanese bands Uchu Conbini, Happy!Mari, and Jizue.

Doors are at 7:00pm.
