Gregory Gan, your host of 4’33” (every Monday at 6 p.m.), a program dedicated to bringing new music to CiTR listeners, is happy to announce that on Monday, February 3rd, 6-7pm, composer and media artist Adam Basanta and sound artist and ethnographer Jennifer Schine will join me in the studio for a chat about Music from the New Wilderness, a performance work that uses music, sound and voice to explore rural geopolitical and environmental issues, from the transformation of resource-based economies into eco-tourism economies, to the early histories and contemporary realities of indigenous peoples.
This multidisciplinary production, presented by Western Front New Music, will run between February 11-15, at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre. Event info here
