We’re getting really excited at the station about the upcoming Alumni Reunion on November 17th! It’s the 75th anniversary of the Student Radio Society of UBC and the 30th anniversary of our move to the FM dial at 101.9. Plus, Discorder will be 30 in February of 2013. We might as well celebrate that, too! It’s a crazy birthday celebration! In the meantime, and to get everyone geeking out on the past, we’re posting all manner of old CiTR-related news articles, photos, and other nostalgia-inducing paraphernalia.

This week, something really cool. We found these tucked away in old archive envelopes. We think they must have been taken for use in Discorder, but these are the originals from 1984, featuring shots of the Gun Club, Green on Red, and Nina Hagen! Thanks to photographer David Jacklin.
