Each year the Canadian Network for International Surgery holds a free community African Market in the courtyard outside their Kitsilano office at 1985 West Broadway at Maple Street.
This year, 25 African artisans, vendors, chefs and performers, representing more than a dozen
African countries, as well as many NGOs working in Africa will participate. A silent auction will be held to raise funds
for course material and surgical equipment. Vancouverites are invited to come and experience Africa- its beauty, diversity and some of its challenges – while supporting CNIS’ mission to teach life-saving surgical skills.
