Tuesday, October 18th, the Next Music from Tokyo Festival comes to Vancouver! Invading the Biltmore Cabaret (395 Kingsway – google map here) with the infectious sounds of independent Japanese music, NMFT promises to bring you music that “exemplifies its city’s bizarre, exotic and innovative qualities”.
The Vancouver installment of the tour will bring NATSUMEN – an instrumental progressive jazz outfit from Japan – to the stage.
They will be joined by Akai Ko-en (an all-female fourtet with a super secret sound); Hyacca (rousing post-punk); and チーナ (orchestral indie pop)!
Tickets are only $8 in advance (through ticketweb.ca) or $10 at the door.
Doors are at 7pm and with the show at 8pm.
