Born and raised in Bath St. Thomas, Jamaica, George Barrett developed a passion for reggae music from a very early age. Residing in Vancouver, George has had two long-running shows celebrating reggae on Coop Radio 102.7fm (over 30 years), and CiTR 101.9fm (over 25 years). At this year’s West Coast Reggae-Caribbean Music Awards held in March, George received the “Best Radio/Dj” and “Outstanding Contribution to the Reggae Music Industry” award.
