An important part of the successful AMS Referendum earlier this month was establishing an AMS Sustainability Fund. This new Sustainability Fund gives us the opportunity to unite sustainability efforts across campus while taking student engagement to a new and exciting level. With $2.25 per student going towards the fund, we’ll have approximately $92,000 for the 2011-2012 year.
To begin solidifying the structure of this fund we’re holding a public consultation on Friday, April 1st from 4pm-6pm in the AMS Council Chambers. We have a lot of ideas on how we’d like to structure the fund and a few ideas from other universities on how they have structured similar funds. We need your help to ensure this process can truly provide great benefit to UBC students and our community.
